So on this page, I would like to show you a little sample of what keeps my mind and hands occupied, see what you think! I have to also note that there are some creations on here that were crafted by my spouse, but are so cool, I just had to share.
I've taken to playing with the airbrush lately. I am looking at some courses this April, but in the meantime I have enjoyed decorating the walls of my painting shed.
A friend asked me to paint his sled hood. I thought it turned out pretty good for a first time, however I have really improved the true fire technique and hope to get another opportunity to repaint this for him. I know I could do a way better job.
Using a stencil on an overhead projector we salvaged from the dump, I was able to trace the image and then airbrush it on the shed walls.
Vintage helmet I am working on. Would like to pinstripe it once I have the base and clear coat laid out.
This was once sleeping quarters for the hired hands that lived on our property and worked on the sawmill that was original to the homestead in the 1950's. We stripped it and converted the structure to a painting shed. I have spent many an hour in this space and I am grateful for it every day.
Fun with glow in the dark paint and black light!
Decided to paint the garage this winter. The whole story is on my other page.
Stainless steel belt buckles made by my husband Meryl. 100% recycled metal salvaged from the bone yard in the back and from the refuse bins at work.
Another bone yard treasure, painted to match the garage. In retrospect, the flames should have been a yellow bottom faded to red licks on the top, but hey- that is how you learn.
